I sipped at a storm
in a teacup
and noticed the porcelain
had cracked
a flood flashed into
the saucer
it ended up
all over the tablecloth

Mini thunderclap and
lightning bolt shocked
me out of the chair

I did my best to contain it
with sandbags and cement
but I was too late
the sugar cubes had
melted
the teaspoon was adrift
so I boiled the kettle
and tried again
